Dear Friend,
W ith so many people jumping on the
'going green' bandwagon it
leaves you wondering... 'what the heck is
this really all about and
how... exactly... does green

me?
Even if you have never
thought about going green until
now... or you are just curious as to
why so many people have abruptly
changed their lifestyles for a more
'greener' one... what I am about to

You see... I wasn't always
so 'green' myself...
In fact...
changing my habits wasn't something I
welcomed with open arms... and
there were times when those in
my neighborhood would mention how they
changed their lifestyle to be completely
green... while the only thing green
about me about me was the color of my
face... as I thought about how much
work it would take to really 'shift over'
into greener pastures.
Going
Green??? Huh...?
It seemed a bit over the top to be
honest...
How could such small
changes make such a major difference? I
really thought these people were just
intrigued by the idea of joining some
'group'... you know the kind... they join
all of these self-improvement programs just
to feel that they are 'doing something' for the
universe.
Still, being human, I
was drawn into the mix... merely by
curiosity more than any confirmed devotion to
their project.
I'll admit I was
really skeptical... In fact... I know I
must have irritated the heck out of them with my
many qustions... even going so far as
criticizing most of their 'big
ideas'.
Sure, I knew the
basics of recycling... doesn't
everyone?
In some towns and
cities it's pretty much required if you want to
get rid of your trash. In fact, where I
happen to live if we didn't clean and sort
out our cans, newspapers, bottles and boxes,
they would just sit there and rot
before they would ever be accepted in
the town's recycling plant.
But
there was mor to this than simply
recycling...
In fact... as I spent more
time with this 'green living' group I
witnessed things
that truly amazed
me... and I'm not easily
impressed.
